Founded in 1995 by Mr. Richard Ramrekha as a clinical laboratory Lab Medica has grown into a full scale medical clinic. We currently operate offices  in San Fernando , Chaguanas, Port of Spain and through our new Medical Mobile Clinic we can carry our services cross country througout the islands of Trinidad & Tobago.

What type of sample is used for DNA Paternity testing

A painless swab of the inner cheek of the mouth is taken from putative father ,mother and child. So the good news is that there is no need to worry about taking a blood specimen or going through any other invasive procedures.

Fast & Accurate Reliable DNA tests

Lab Medica partners with a US based DNA testing lab bringing state of
the art results in DNA testing to T&T. Using advanced techniques and
automated systems, our lab aims to produce the most accurate DNA
relationship and paternity test results while also providing superior
quality, service and convenience to customers.
Our DNA Testing Lab utilizes an extensive laboratory process involving
bar‐coded specimens and a Laboratory Information Management
System (LIMS) assuring the highest quality of service achievable in the
industry. The Laboratory regularly employs system controls, checks
and balances to provide reliable and accurate DNA and paternity test
results.
Accreditation agencies, such as AABB and LAB (ISO‐17025), routinely
evaluate the DNA paternity testing laboratory for adherence to
standards of cleanliness, competency, work quality, consumer privacy
protection and results accuracy. This accreditation process includes
sample accessioning, laboratory extraction, data analysis, and secure
DNA test results reporting.

How soon are results available?

Results normally take between 10‐15 working days . Reports can be
emailed once requested or simply picked up at our laboratory .
